Mobile Software Architect · Barcelona

Ronan O Ciosoig

I’m a mobile software architect in Barcelona. I’m writing a series on iOS architecture for codebases where AI agents write a growing share of the code. Every claim in it is tested against ShopApp, a real multi-module SwiftUI app, rather than argued in the abstract.

  1. AI Writes Fast. Your Safety Net Needs to Be Faster.

A simple SwiftUI pattern makes broken navigation states impossible to write, and impossible to miss in testing — whether the code came from a teammate who understood the app, or an AI agent that didn't.

  2. Don't Trust Your Stub. Trust the Transcript.

A recorded HAR fixture lets a coding agent read back exactly what the API said, not guess at it.

  3. Don't Make It Public. Give It a Boundary

A module can already be right about what's internal and still be wrong about what's public.

Background

Seventeen years building iOS apps, from agency work across Europe and the US to owning the iOS architecture at eDreams: micro-apps for 12 teams, 90% faster builds through binary caching, and CI under 10 minutes with selective testing.
